You are a masterpiece!

You are a masterpiece! This reminder came to me actually on Easter Sunday. We had gotten home and I was looking at photos of the day and realized there wasn't a good one You are a merpiece! This reminder came to me actually on Easter Sunday. We had gotten home and I was looking at photos of the day and realized there wasn't a good one of my family. In truth, there wasn't a good one of me. That night I apologized to Jason for marrying someone who wasn't drop-dead gorgeous. As I was saying that out loud to him this reminder came into my head. "You are saying my masterpiece is ugly. You forget Michelle, I create perfection, I don't make mistakes!"

Here on the day, I should be celebrating Jesus and what he did for me, he came to my rescue and reminded me of who I am. I am a MASTERPIECE! He created me with perfection! He knew from the moment I was in my mother's womb. He knew when he knitted me together from my toes to the top of my head. He knows the count of the hair on my head. He knows my every scar. He created a masterpiece!

We were created to look in the mirror and remind ourselves of this every day. Over time our bodies will age and we will get more wrinkles. But we are so beautiful! God created each and every one of us unique and different, but oh so beautiful! If you look at all the art in the world, none of them are the same. But the artist created something beautiful! We are the art that God, the artist, is constantly changing and working on to be who we are called to be. With every brushstoke, with every creative line he is creating something beautiful. Artists usually are perfectionists and God has his work cut out with us because we are so not perfect. I think that is what he loves us about us! He knows we need him to keep working on us. He wants us to keep looking upward at him and he wants to keep reminding us who are! We are his Masterpieces!
